The first major panel outside of the Javits Center for this year’s opening day of New York Comic Con was Ash vs Evil Dead. This is the second time the Ash has come came to NYCC and the second time the panel was held at Hammerstein Ballroom on West 34th Street.

Although season two of Ash vs Evil Dead began airing new episodes the week prior, it didn’t stop fans from lining up early hoping to get an exclusive sneak peak at an upcoming episode and some insider information from cast members on what to expect this season.

Ash fans got exactly what they were hoping for. Not only did they get to see the second episode of season two in its entirety prior to its network airing, but also the scoop and what they could expect this season — well sort of, but not exactly. Trying to avoid the wrath of the Starz Network by not directly revealing anything, Bruce Campbell could only say their will be surprises for fans with actors popping up in their original roles from the iconic film series. And Ted Raimi added that fans could expect a lot more blood this season.

When moderator Doug Benson asked Ted Raimi how it felt to be back in the franchise, Ted replied with “Weird and great all at the same time. Raimi will be playing Ash’s best friend Chet (the friend that didn’t get asked to the cabin).

Funniest moment of the panel was Lee Major’s imitation of Ted Raimi, which was Major’s comeback to Raimi’s imitation of Majors. Raimi conceded stating Lee Major’s imitation of him was “dead on.”

When a fan asked about the possibility of a season three, Campbell told the packed house that Starz has made no announcement, and then promptly told everyone, jokingly, that it was their faults for not making enough social media noise. Campbell encouraged everyone to tell Starz to green light season three if the fans truly wanted it.

We encourage all Ash vs Evil Dead fans to let Starz Managing Director, Mr. CARMI ZLOTNIK, who is responsible for programming and development activities for Starz as well as overseeing production of STARZ Original series, that you want a third season. The telephone number for Starz is (720) 852-7700, and their twitter account is @STARZ. And don’t forget the official Ash twitter account is @AshvsEvilDead. So make some noise and and let Starz know you want more Ash vs Evil Dead.
